Cub Scout Committee Meeting

February, 15 2011

5:30 – 6:00

 

Attendees:      Kennesaw Ward Cub Committee (Sister Christensen, Brother Futral, Brother & Sister Penrod)

 

5:15– 6:00 p.m.

Cub Committee Meeting - Following Den Meeting, we will hold a 30 minute committee meeting.  Things to be discussed: Opening Prayer – Tangi Penrod Reviewed Last Months Action Items – See last months agenda Field Trip - February 22 9:30am at Sister Christensen's Home to go Bishop's McLeod's work and see a newspaper printing press Field Trip – March 18, 2011 to Judge Stedman Court Room at Juvinil Court (Must be in the courtroom by 3:30.  Meeting place and time to leave still being discussed.  Pack Meeting Assignments for Blue & Gold Banquet (Sis. Penrod decorations and drinks, dishes) 5:00 setup for blue and gold (Penrod's and anyone else wanting to assist) Food (parents to bring dish to share, boys to make cake from theme, "What do you want to be". Example an astronot, computer game designer, a missionary) Skits from each den (Webelos, Den) Adult Skit (Come prepared to participate) Gathering game (golf Sister Christensen) Blue and gold announcements (Judge Stedman, time) Pinewood derby (Contact Acworth Ward to see if they would like to do a family catagoy) Exhibits for Pack Meeting Uniform Inspection (Ribbons to be awarded) Awards (Logan Webelos maybe) communicator pin, Aaron might get communicator as well.  Leaders get me your list of awards March Scouting for Food (All month, but main drive week of March 13-19. Boys will delivery food to Shiloh Methodist and boys to help with distribution

Communicator Activity Badge

Parents of Webelos,

 

We have had a couple of really good den meetings the past two weeks.  We have worked on a couple of activity badges, COMMUNICATOR & CRAFTSMAN.

 

We have almost completed the requirements for them to finish their Communicator badge.  We completed items 1, 3, 4, 5, and 14 on page 166 & 167 of the handbook.  They only need to do two more from the list and they will earn the badge.  If any of the Webelos would like to prepare for item #2 on the list, we will have him speak to us in our next den meeting.  I also gave them a sheet with the requirements to earn their Academics Belt Loop for Communicating (item # 15) if they would like to complete that.  They can choose any two of the items from the list of 16 that we have not completed already.

 

I am still anxious for them to earn their Webelos Badge.  It is possible for them to do so by completing the requirements before our next pack meeting.  Each of them know what they need to do to earn the badge.  It would be great if parents could encourge them to finish so we can start working on their Arrow Of Light.  If any of you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call.  I am ready and willing to help in any way I can.

 

Bro. Penrod, we have completed the Academics belt loop for Computers.  Will you make sure they are awarded at our next pack meeting?
